<br />Regular City Council Meeting - 03/29/04 <br />Minutes - Page 12 <br /> <br />community. <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Kough seconded, authorization for <br />Mayor Klausing to sign a joint resolution against racism <br />and terrorist threats in conjunction with the Mounds View <br />School District Board and the City Councils of Arden <br />Hills, Mounds View, New Brighton, North Oaks, <br />Roseville, Shoreview and Vadnais Heights. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan, Kough, Maschka, Schroeder and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />4.b Poppy Day Proclamation <br />City Manager Beets presented a proposed proclamation <br />related to benefits for veterans and their families in <br />supporting the sale of memorial poppies. <br /> <br />Klausing moved, Maschka seconded, the City Council's <br />proclamation to recognize May 21, 2004 as Poppy Day in <br />the City of Roseville. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan, Kough, Maschka, Schroeder and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />4.c <br /> <br />Keep Roseville Beautiful Proclamation (see also #5) <br />City Manager Beets presented the proposed proclamation <br />in an effort to raise awareness in the community for litter <br />control and for volunteer recruitment, in conjunction with <br />activities of the recently-established ad hoc litter control <br />committee. <br /> <br />Kough moved, Ihlan seconded, the City Council's <br />proclamation to recognize the month of April 2004 as <br />"Keep Roseville Beautiful" Month; and urged all citizens <br />to do their part to pick up litter and preserve the beauty of <br />our community. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough encouraged Councilmembers to <br />sign up for a minimum of two hours each for litter clean <br />up. <br /> <br />Poppy Day <br />Proclamation <br /> <br />Keep Roseville <br />Beautiful <br />Proclamation <br />(see also #5) <br />
