<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 06/20/05 <br />Minutes - Page 11 <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough; Ihlan; Schroeder; Maschka and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Kough seconded, authorizing the <br />acceptance of Bid Alternates #1 (Start-up Services), 2 <br />(Two-Year Warranty), 3 (Chiller Support System), 4 <br />(R~NHl','al aRd Disfl€lSal €lf E;[istillg Erill~), 5 (Paint High <br />Pressure Receiver), and 7 (Replace Brine Pumps) as <br />outlined in the staff report dated June 20, 2005, as amended <br />to delete Alternate 4; and awarding the contract to Cool Air <br />Mechanical as the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough; Ihlan; Schroeder; Maschka and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Kough seconded, rejecting Bid Alternate <br />#4 (Removal and Disposal of Existing Brine) at this time, <br />with the understanding that it may need to be handled and <br />contracted separately as the calcium chloride/brine solution <br />testing proceeds. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough; Ihlan; Schroeder; Maschka and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Kough seconded, authorizing City staff <br />and the City Attorney to work with the Friends of the <br />OVAL Foundation on a Recreation Agreement to define <br />the ongoing responsibilities of the parties in operating and <br />maintaining the Roseville Skating Center. <br /> <br />Discussion included pursuit of matching funds for the <br />$500,000 grant from the Guidant Foundation; coordination <br />of the Parks and Recreation Commission, Friends of the <br />Oval Foundation (FOF) and user groups; timing issues; and <br />drafting of an agreement, similar to that of the former <br />Central Park Foundation and Gambling Foundation. <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka noted Guidant Foundation's <br />awareness and impression with the City of Roseville' s past <br />
