<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 06/20/05 <br />Minutes - Page 12 <br /> <br />experience and history in working with foundations and <br />management of endowment funds. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough; Ihlan; Schroeder; Maschka and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn opined his ideas of how the City Council <br />should adopt individual recommendations from the Task <br />Force Final Report; questioned the concept of subsidies for <br />users and the impacts for other programs; and spoke in <br />support of a tiered rate structure, since Roseville residents <br />were already paying fees as part of their city taxes for <br />operation of the Oval; questioned who was appointing the <br />Advisory Commission; and suggested that the City Council <br />may wish to consider operating the Oval as an Enterprise <br />Fund to provide greater fiscal controls and accounting. <br /> <br />Council thanked all involved in the Task Force, including <br />user-groups, noting that the City of Roseville always <br />brought forward its best when challenged. Council <br />recognized the expertise, commitment and incredible work <br />performed by Task Force members, who turned a bad <br />situation into a good opportunity. <br /> <br />Task Force Chair Jacobson accepted accolades from the <br />City Council and audience, and recognized and introduced <br />members of the Task Force present in the audience, <br />thanking them for the expertise, networking and <br />representation of various user groups they brought to the <br />Task Force and the solid team effort brought forth. <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka specifically recognized and <br />thanked Marilyn Rose Sanft and the original concept <br />behind the John Rose Oval, as recognized by the Guidant <br />Foundation, to "get the kids on the ice." <br /> <br />Recess Recess <br />Mayor Klausing recessed the meeting at approximately 7:08 p.m. <br />and reconvened at 7:20 p.m. <br />
