City Council Regular Meeting - 07/11/05 Minutes - Page 13 Chamber of Commerce's interest in having the City of Roseville become a member, along with other participating communities. Mr. Johnson noted that their organization was over 500 members strong, continued to grow, and was "non-political." Councilmember Kough noted that one of the advantages for the City's membership would be re-involvement in the 1-35W Corridor Coalition, of which the Chamber was a participant. Councilmember Kough opined that discussion of membership be included as part of the 2006 Budget process. Councilmember Schroeder clarified with Mr. Johnson that the $500 was the only fee for membership. Mr. Johnson answered affirmatively. Acting Mayor Maschka directed City Manager Beets to include discussion of membership as part of the 2006 Budget discussions. Recess Acting Mayor Maschka recessed the meeting at approximately 8:00 p.m. and reconvened at 8:07 p.m. Public Hearing for South Owasso Street Reconstruction from Rice Street to Dale Street (continued) Acting Mayor Maschka reconvened the Public Hearing for the above-referenced project at 8:07 p.m. PUBLIC COMMENT Tom Stratton, 3000 Sandy Hook Drive Mr. Stratton expressed concern with the long-term health of several mature cottonwood trees on his property if the road is located too far north. Mr. Stratton also expressed support of the parking bays as an excellent compromise, and encouraged Council support of the bay option.
