There was, as you will recall, some concern expressed at the last public hearing <br />by the owners and operators of the motei to the south across Oakcrest from ti�e <br />property in question. Their concern was that of competition, particularly during <br />a period of automobile fuel shortage and reduced travel resulting therefrom. in <br />normai times, one might anticipate better business for both operations in a <br />grouped situation as would occur here. lrrespective of the competitive concern, <br />however, the courts F�ave long insisted that zoning shall not be used as a device <br />to restrict competiiion or crepte monoply for a particular business. <br />
