Since that mee�ing i� k*as ].eax•ned tha� the 1974 <br />Legislature changed. Veteran's Day frarr► the 4th Monday in Ocraber to November 1I. <br />Therefore, �c�ober 28th waulc� no�,� be a legal date to condzict official city business, <br />if the Gat�ncil 5Q desired. The City ordinance provides tha-t �he 4th Monday in <br />Oc�ober �s a 1ega1 holiday, but the state 1aw wotzld superced� a City ordinance. <br />The regular m�eting dates for NovemBer would have been �Toveanber 11, 18 and 25. <br />However, it is necessaxy tp cancel the November 11th meeting because af Veteran's <br />Day. In addition, the Council is scheduled to meet at 5:30 P.I�i., Wednesday, <br />November 6, �a canvas the votes �or the November 5th election on the bond <br />re�erendiun and Municipal Judge. <br />Action Requested: <br />1. Motion canceZling the Nover.tber llth x'egularly <br />scheduled council meeting. <br />2. N�.�otion instructing �he Ci�y A�torney �.o prepare <br />an ordinance which would confo� the City designated <br />1ega� holidays to the State Law. <br />
