<br />City Council Study Session - 11/21/05 <br />Minutes - Page 2 <br /> <br />Approve Agenda Approve Agenda <br />Mayor Klausing called for any comments or discussion on tonight's <br />Agenda. <br /> <br />1. Receive Public Comment about City Issues Public Comment <br />Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the <br />audience on any non-agenda items. <br /> <br />A. Dan Roe, 2100 Avon Street <br />Mr. Roe advised the City Council of citizen concerns <br />expressed during his recent campaign, specifically related <br />to commercial refuse collection near residential areas and <br />timing of those collections. Mr. Roe suggested that the <br />Council might wish to consider residential district <br />restrictions to lessen neighborhood impacts. <br /> <br />Mr. Roe also spoke to the upcoming discussion related to a <br />possible moratorium, and the number of issues as a result; <br />seeking the Council's recognition for the overall vision of <br />Roseville and that it be a community-wide discussion. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing thanked Mr. Roe for his comments and <br />encouraged residents to contact staff with their concerns <br />related to refuse collection, timing, and code applications. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing noted that he and City Manager Beets had <br />met with the City's representative to the Metropolitan <br />Council, Ms. Kris Sanda, and requested her follow-up on <br />the possibility of several bus stop shelters being abandoned <br />by the Met Council to allow TranStop to assume their <br />maintenance and upkeep. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing <br />Mayor Klausing noted that earlier today, the City of <br />Roseville had been the site of the annual Mothers Against <br />Drunk Driving (MADD), with television media from four <br />stations; and recognized the twenty-fifth anniversary of the <br />organization. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing encouraged safe driving over the holiday <br />season, through designated drivers and seat belt use. <br />
