MEMORANDUM <br />To: Parks and Recreation Commission <br />From: Lonnie Brokke <br />Date: February 1, 2012 <br />Re: Notes for Commission Meeting on Tuesday March 6, 2012 <br />1. Introductions /Public Comment Invited <br />Commissioners and staff will be introduced. Public participation and public comment is <br />encouraged. <br />2. Approval of Minutes of the February 9, 2012 Meeting <br />Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of February 9, 2012. Please be prepared to approve <br />or amend. <br />Requested Action: Approve /amend minutes of the meeting of February 9, 2012 <br />3. Community Engagement Task Force Report <br />Greg Simbeck and Randall Doneen serve on the Human Rights Commission Community <br />Engagement Task Force as representatives of the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br />Simbeck and Doneen will be prepared to report on the latest progress on this effort. <br />Requested Action: Commission discussion and feedback <br />4. Park and Recreation Renewal Program <br />On February 15, 2012 at the Harriet Alexander Nature Center a community /neighborhood <br />meeting was held to review the Boardwalk replacement and Nature Center improvements <br />with about 40 attending. <br />On February 28, 2012, Staff and Commissioner Doneen attended the Public Works, <br />Environment and Transportation Commission meeting to update them on the status of the <br />Park and Recreation Renewal Program and more specifically the Natural Resources and <br />Trails. <br />Commission representatives and staff will provide information on the recent meetings and <br />any additional information to date. <br />No future meetings have been scheduled. <br />Requested Action: Discuss Park and Recreation Renewal Program (PRRP) and provide <br />advice and guidance <br />5. Election of Chair and Vice Chair <br />The March meeting is the time to elect the Chair and Vice -Chair for the upcoming year. <br />Included in the packet is the roster of Commission members and their appointment dates. <br />The election may be done by voice vote or secret ballot depending on the wishes. <br />Requested Commission Action: Election of Chair and Vice -Chair of the Roseville Parks <br />and Recreation Commission. <br />6.
