<br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville that: <br /> <br />1. Metro Transit conduct a traffic study on the intersection of County Road B and Rice <br />Street that documents existing traffic impediments, measures the impact of the <br />proposed park and ride lot, and factors in any growth of existing business whose <br />traffic flow utilizes this intersection prior to final approval by the City of Little <br />Canada, Ramsey County and Mn/DOT, and the award of any contracts by Metro <br />Transit <br /> <br />2. The Roseville City Council requests Metro Transit, St. Jude Medical, Senator John <br />Marty, Representative Beverly Scalze, Ramsey County petition the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation and Governor Pawlenty for funding to reconstruct the <br />Rice Street Bridge over Highway 36 as soon as possible to resolve the existing traffic <br />problems at the intersection of County Road B and Rice Street to enable the <br />construction of a new park and ride lot to serve the area's transit needs, as well as <br />improve the ability to accommodate additional traffic as redevelopment and <br />expansion of local business occurs. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Schroeder and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor Ihlan, Maschka, Kough, Schroeder <br />and Klausing and the following voted against the same: none <br />
