<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 24th day of September, 2005 at 6:00 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Ihlan, Maschka, Kough, Schroeder and Klausing <br /> <br />Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10346 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST BY S & J PARTNERSHIP, <br />2500 CLEVELAND AVENUE, FORA 50 SQ. FT. VARIANCE <br />TO SECTION 1009.08E AND 5 FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION 1009.08G OR THE <br />CITY CODE TO ALLOW THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PYLON SIGN <br />ON THE PREMISES. (PF3684). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, S & J Partnership requested approval of a 50 sq. ft. size VARIANCE to <br />Section 1009.08E of the Roseville Sign Code to allow the creation ofa 150 sq ft. multiple tenant <br />sign; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, S 7 J partnership requested approval of a 5 foot height V ARIANCE to <br />Section 1009.08G or the Roseville Sign Code to allow the installation of a 25 foot tall sign in a <br />Business District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the S & J Partnership property is addressed as 2500 Cleveland Avenue and <br />legally described as: <br /> <br />Section 9, Township 29, Range 23 excluding the east 14 feet of the west 435.42 feet of the <br />south 271 feet of the north 364.9 feet; thence north 329 feet of the west 435.42 feet of the <br />southwest ~ of the northwest ~ subject to highway and easements <br />PIN: 04-29-23-41-0028 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Code Section 1009.08E requires a pylon sign to have a maximum <br />signage amount not exceeding 100 sq. ft. in a Business District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, S & J Partnership seeks the allowance of a multiple tenant pylon (pole) sign <br />of 150 sq. ft. (25 sq. ft. for 6 tenants of a 8 tenant building) due to visual barriers from Cleveland <br />Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Code Section 1 009.08G limits a pylon (pole) sign to a maximum <br />height of 20 feet in a Business District; and <br /> <br />1 <br />
