<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 05/10/04 <br />Minutes - Page 27 <br /> <br />Schroeder moved, Kough seconded, accepted settlement offer <br />and authorized staff to complete and submit a request for <br />extension due to scheduling conflicts as addressed in the staff <br />report dated May 10, 2004; authorized staff to enter into an <br />agreement with Roof Spec, Inc. as the project Construction <br />Manager at a cost not to exceed $7,330.00; with monies to be <br />expended from the City Building Replacement Fund; authorized <br />acceptance of the low bid from Dalco Roofing in the amount of <br />$218,840.00 plus a $10,000 contingency amount for the re- <br />roofing project at the Roseville Skating Center; and authorized <br />Dalco Roofing to proceed with the remediation work as outlined <br />in the settlement with the City being responsible to cover the <br />12.5% (approximately $16,255.87) class action attorney fees <br />based on the total remediation work as ordered by the U.S. <br />District Court of Massachusetts in the class action suit; and <br />authorized the acceptance of alternate #1 (interior protection) <br />from low bidder Dalco Roofing at a cost of $26,200, with monies <br />to be expended from the City Building Replacement Fund; and <br />rejected Alternate 2A (painting interior roof) and rejected <br />Alternate 2B (using reflective paint) due to the costs and <br />schedule conflicts with existing programs scheduled in the <br />facility. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder, Ihlan, Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />Consider Calling a Special Council Meeting on Thursday, <br />June 17, 2004 in order to meet jointly with the Roseville <br />School Board <br />Mayor Klausing reviewed the proposed agenda and date for this <br />joint meeting, seeking Council comment. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough noted that he had a conflict on the <br />proposed meeting date, but would like it to be rescheduled so he <br />can attend. <br /> <br />City Manager Beets noted that this date had been selected as it is <br />a scheduled work session for the School Board, and their agenda <br />was light that evening, and that the next opportunity wouldn't be <br />until the School Board's July work session. <br /> <br />Calling a Special <br />Council Meeting on <br />Thursday, June 17, <br />2004 to meet jointly <br />with the Roseville <br />School Board <br />
