George Isaacs, 682 Sextant Avenue W <br />Mr. Isaacs encouraged residents to think of any possible <br />municipal taxes as an investment in Roseville and to <br />compare their taxes to the services received. Mr. Isaacs <br />further encouraged residents to recognize the budget <br />constraints the City Council worked with in providing <br />those services. <br /> <br />D. Lyle Sorum, 455 County Road C (Westwood Village 3) <br />Mr. Sorum thanked the City Council for holding these <br />Town Hall meetings and allowing this interaction between <br />residents and the City Council. Mr. Sorum expressed <br />appreciation related to the openness of various services <br />provided within the community, noting his personal <br />experience with a concern he'd taken to the Police <br />Department and their professional and expedient conduct in <br />resolving the matter. <br /> <br />Mr. Sorum sought comment from the City Council about <br />railroad tie-designed street markers along Dale Street for <br />the pathway, and what their intent was for the markers. <br />At Mayor Klausing's direction, Public Works Director <br />Duane Schwartz reviewed the history of the markers as a <br />joint city/county pathway venture as part of the Reservoir <br />Woods project, meant to be decorative and informative; <br />noting that several had been removed due to visibility <br />issues at various intersections. Mr. Schwartz noted that he <br />was not aware of further plans at this time. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding citizen comment or complaint <br />to-date related to the signage; duplication of City street <br />signs; and the pathway design and construction process and <br />Council and staff desire for neighborhood citizen <br />involvement. <br /> <br />E. Warren Davidson, 2839 Asbury Avenue <br />Mr. Davidson opined several ways to reduce City <br />operational cost, including "no more new and costly <br />OVAL-type developments until the economy dramatically <br />improves." Mr. Davidson noted that he was glad the <br />OVAL existed, but recommended increased user fees for <br />
