<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 12/05/05 <br />Minutes - Page 33 <br /> <br />meeting dates for the 2006 calendar year; essentially using the <br />second, third and fourth Mondays of each month; with the third <br />Monday designated for Council Study Sessions when feasible in <br />conjunction with regular and special business of the Council. <br />Mr. Beets reviewed potential exceptions (i.e., holidays and <br />RoseFest parade); and noted that the schedule could be tailor- <br />made to meet the needs of the new City Council after the first of <br />the year. <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Klausing seconded, approval of the 2006 City <br />Council meeting schedule dated December 5, 2005. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough; Maschka; Ihlan and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing noted that scheduling conflicts of individual <br />Councilmembers may arise, and would be accommodated as <br />necessary. <br /> <br />Council member Kough, Reception of Returning Soldiers <br />Councilmember Kough noted that members of the National <br />Guard, 434th Battalion, were recently returned from active duty <br />in the Middle East; and noted that 35 members were from <br />Roseville. Councilmember Kough sought to arrange a special <br />"Welcome Home" ceremony at the December 19, 2005 Regular <br />City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing, with Council consensus, encouraged <br />Councilmember Kough to continue to coordinate schedules <br />around the holidays, and the battalion's scheduling. <br /> <br />14.
