City Council Regular Meeting - OS/24/04 Minutes - Page 8 Councilmember Maschka's analysis. Maschka moved, Schroeder seconded, approval to the Roseville Police Department to pursue a Joint Powers Agreement between the City of Roseville and the St. Paul Police Department for a records management system; with final Council approval of negotiations upon their completion. Roll Call Ayes: Schroeder, Maschka, Ihlan, Kough and Klausing. Nays: None. City Manager Beets confirmed the motion adopted; and noted that the Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) addressed in Item 4.b entitled, "Approve a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of St. Paul for a Police Records Management System (Consent Item 3.i)," would be brought back to the City Council for final approval and authorization for signature. 4.c Approve Audio Visual Purchases for City Building Project (Consent Item 3.m) City Manager Beets reviewed past Council directive to staff to return with a specific listing of all audio visual needs for Council consideration. Mr. Beets reviewed the proposed construction and Council Chambers room design, as well as those same items as related to the lower level Emergency Operations Center. Specific bids, as per the State Contract, were individually tabulated for review. Councilmember Schroeder clarified his request for discussion was to address room design concerns; requested an on-air monitor for the back of the Council Chambers; and suggested that staff include a copy of the sketch for future discussions. Councilmember Schroeder questioned the viability, and feasibility, of linking the camera system in the EOC with that in the Council Chambers; and also reiterated his request that a small monitor be placed in the rear of the Council Chambers for Councilmembers' awareness of who was on the air.
