<br />City Council Regular Meeting 07/12/04 <br />Minutes - Page 15 <br /> <br />presented a plaque to the Pack. <br /> <br />Scout Leader Johnson thanked Councilmembers and the <br />community for their recognition and introduced scouts and <br />leaders in attendance at tonight's meeting. Mr. Johnson <br />noted that the flower planting along the Lexington Avenue <br />boulevard at Central Park was an excellent example of <br />"intergenerational interaction." <br /> <br />Mr. Brokke recognized the Roseville Central Park <br />Foundation, along with their current Chairperson Mr. <br />Monte Johnson, for their donation of twenty replacement <br />park benches; three trash receptacles; and six park <br />identification signs for a total contribution of $40,000 in <br />celebration of the 40th anniversary of the foundation. A <br />plaque was presented by Mr. Brokke and accepted on <br />behalf of the foundation by Mr. Johnson. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson, on behalf of the Foundation, noted that the <br />40th anniversary celebration was scheduled for October 1, <br />2004; and tickets for the fundraising opportunity would be <br />available for sale in the near future, with the event to be <br />held in the Rose Room at the Roseville Skating Center. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing expressed his appreciation to the <br />Foundation for their continued generosity to the City's <br />parks and recreation facilities. <br /> <br />Mr. Brokke introduced 2004 Rose Parade Chair Leslie <br />Berry, expressing appreciation to Ms. Berry for her three <br />years of service as Parade Committee Chair, and to the <br />Committee for their continued work in planning and <br />organizing what has become known as one of the best and <br />most organized parades in the Midwest. A plaque <br />honoring Ms. Berry and her dedication to the annual Rose <br />Parade was presented by Mr. Brokke. <br /> <br />Mr. Brokke noted that the City of Roseville was truly <br />blessed and honored with so many super volunteers in the <br />community.
