City Council Regular Meeting 07/12/04 Minutes - Page 15 presented a plaque to the Pack. Scout Leader Johnson thanked Councilmembers and the community for their recognition and introduced scouts and leaders in attendance at tonight's meeting. Mr. Johnson noted that the flower planting along the Lexington Avenue boulevard at Central Park was an excellent example of "intergenerational interaction." Mr. Brokke recognized the Roseville Central Park Foundation, along with their current Chairperson Mr. Monte Johnson, for their donation of twenty replacement park benches; three trash receptacles; and six park identification signs for a total contribution of $40,000 in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the foundation. A plaque was presented by Mr. Brokke and accepted on behalf of the foundation by Mr. Johnson. Mr. Johnson, on behalf of the Foundation, noted that the 40th anniversary celebration was scheduled for October 1, 2004; and tickets for the fundraising opportunity would be available for sale in the near future, with the event to be held in the Rose Room at the Roseville Skating Center. Mayor Klausing expressed his appreciation to the Foundation for their continued generosity to the City's parks and recreation facilities. Mr. Brokke introduced 2004 Rose Parade Chair Leslie Berry, expressing appreciation to Ms. Berry for her three years of service as Parade Committee Chair, and to the Committee for their continued work in planning and organizing what has become known as one of the best and most organized parades in the Midwest. A plaque honoring Ms. Berry and her dedication to the annual Rose Parade was presented by Mr. Brokke.
