Permit fee schedule request for City Council approval <br />1. $40.00 inspection fee for Day Care/Foster Care inspections: <br />Fee to include original inspection and one follow-up inspection. State <br />Statute 245A.151 provides for a fee of up to $50.00 per inspection. Roseville <br />Finance has calculated that our costs are $40.00. We are projecting <br />approximately 50 to 75 inspections for a total income of $2000.00 to $3000.00. <br />2. $100.00 inspection fee for installation or removal of underground <br />fuel storage tanks: <br />Currently we are collecting permit fees based upon the value of the work <br />being performed. In most cases, the permit fee is currently $28.00 to $50.00. <br />Many of these removals require multiple site visits to verify that the State and <br />Federal requirements are being met. Additionally, we are required to visually <br />witness the removal and document the soil conditions under the tank. This can <br />be a long process depending on the soil conditions and proficiency of the <br />equipment operator. We are projecting approximately 5 to 10 tank removals and <br />1 to 3 installs per year for a total income of $700.00 to $1300.00. <br />3. $100.00/$350.00 permit fee for sale of Consumer Fireworks: <br />Currently we have no permit requirement for the sale of Consumer <br />Fireworks. We now have no way of knowing when, if or who is selling fireworks. <br />State Statute 624.20 provides for the issuing of permits along with a fee of <br />$100.00 for existing retail businesses and a fee of $350.00 for "stand alone" <br />businesses for the sole purpose of these sales. We are projecting a total of <br />$1500.00 per year revenue from these sales. <br />
