City Council Regular Meeting - 10/11/04
Minutes - Page 8

City Manager Beets noted that proposals had been prepared
and received from five engineering firms; and following
review, staff was recommending engaging S.E.H. at a cost
not to exceed $26,000. Mr. Beets noted that this firm had
performed the 1991 Lake Survey and the 1993 Feasibility
Study, were very knowledgeable about the proposed
project, and should provide valuable expertise as such.

Councilmember Schroeder requested that in the future,
staff provide more timely and detailed information
regarding the proposed projects, and the response and
proposals of the firms solicited.

Councilmember Schroeder opined that, specifically related
to this project, this would allow Council and public input
into potential parkland, parking and access issues, as well
as final roadway alignn1ent of South Owasso Boulevard,
cost implications and neighborhood concerns.

City Manager Beets concurred with the issues raised by
Councilmember Schroeder, noting that staff was interested
in reviewing all input and potential alternatives. Mr. Beets
noted that this was in the concept stage, and community
meetings with neighbors and future Council discussion and
involvement would be part of the process prior to final
approval.

Schroeder moved, Kough seconded, approval of a contract
between the City of Roseville and S .E.H. for engineering
services, final design, plans and specifications for
Ladyslipper Park Water Quality Improvements, at a cost
not to exceed $26,000.00.

Roll Call
Ayes: Kough, Maschka, Ihlan, Schroeder and Klausing.
Nays: None.

5.

Recognitions, Donations, Communications

Recognitions,
Donations,
Communications
