An avid birder, he <br /> <br />writes that he has observed "several species that are <br /> <br />considered to be relatively rare: Yellow-crowned Night-Heron, <br /> <br />Willet, Prothonotary Warbler, and Kentucky Warbler. <br />Especially unusual was a Yellow-throated Warbler, a species <br /> <br />that bad not previously been reported in Minnesota, ... until <br /> <br />identified in Langton Lake woods..." Carrol Henderson and <br /> <br />Joan Galli oftbe Department of Natural Resources write that <br /> <br />"in first-ring suburbs such as Roseville, wildlife habitats are at <br /> <br />a premium. Langton Lake Park is unique in its location near <br /> <br />by commercial areas and major freeways.
