Items Removed from Consent Agenda <br /> <br />4.a <br /> <br />Approve Contracts/Purchases in Excess of $5,000 <br />(formerly Consent Agenda Item 3.b) <br />City Manager Beets reviewed the curbside recycle bin <br />purchase; reviewed the proposed pilot program that was <br />implemented and current collation of data collected for <br />later provision to the Public Works and Transportation <br />Commission and then the City Council. Mr. Beets <br />anticipated that, if the city chooses to go single-stream, the <br />City would not be experiencing a loss and the vendor <br />would buy back the bins. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder questioned the delay in <br />receiving the data from the pilot study; and questioned <br />whether the number of bins anticipated was accurate, <br />recommending that the number of bins be reduced. <br /> <br />Ci ty Manager Beets noted the irony in the industry that <br />they did not produce recyclable recycling bins. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing questioned City Manager Beets on the <br /> <br />Resolution 10264 <br />Final Payment <br />Larpenteur Avenue <br />Streetscape <br />Improvements, <br />Phase II <br /> <br />Items Removed <br />from Consent <br />Agenda <br /> <br />Approve Contracts <br />and Purchases in <br />Excess of $5,000 <br />
