<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 12/06/04 <br />Minutes - Page 29 <br /> <br />"Section 1: Title One, Section 103.015 of the Roseville City Code is added as <br />follows: <br />103.015: Campaign Contribution Reporting <br />A. A candidate for election to a City office.... <br />1. States the name, address and employer, or occupation if <br />self-employed, of any individual, and the name and address of any <br />committee or organization, which [within] ~ the previous <br />[one] year [period] has made one or more contributions that in <br />the aggregate are greater than $100, and the amount and date of <br />teach contribution; or <br />2. States that in the previous [one] year [period] no individual, <br />committee or organization has made one or more contributions <br />that in the aggregate are greater than $100. <br /> <br />"Section 2: Effective date. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and <br />publication,,[; except that no candidate need to substantially report <br />contributions received prior to or that predate enactment of this ordinance.]" <br /> <br />Ihlan moved, Klausing seconded, amending the ordinance as <br /> <br />follows: <br />"Section 1: Title One, Section 103.015 of the Roseville City Code is added as <br />follows: <br />103.015: Campaign Contribution Reporting <br />A. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and <br />publication,,[; except that no candidate need to substantially report <br />contributions received prior to or that predate enactment of this ordinance.]" <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing spoke in support of the proposed ordinance, as <br />amended, opining that it stuck a balance between privacy and <br />transparency; and supported the $100 disclosure amount on a <br />trial basis. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough questioned procedures for open accounts <br />for previous held-over contributions; with Mayor Klausing <br />responding that these funds would not be applicable for <br />consideration by this ordinance. <br /> <br />Vote by roll call. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br />
