. A TV's would be used by officers/park patrol/reserve officers to respond to areas
that cannot be accessed by squad. This is especially useful when responding to
emergency medical calls and search/rescue incidents. The A TV would be
equipped with a rack system capable of carrying a medical litter, to evacuate
victims from remote areas. It is extremely difficult for officers to carry a litter from
remote points, especially in inclement weather.

. A TV's could be used as an extra tool for the Department's park patrol and
Reserve officers on daily park patrols. An A TV would provide the opportunity for
officers to make person-to-person contacts with citizens in our parks. Our
citizens appreciate the police presence and have routinely made positive
comment on the personal contacts made by our officers, reservists, and bike
patrol in the park system.

PARKS & RECREATION

All Terrain Vehicles could be used for the following:

· Special Events - Rose Parade, Run/Roll for the Roses and the 4th of July
Fireworks display.
a The A TV's would be used for crowd and traffic control (it is very
difficult, if not impossible to move about in a regular vehicle given the
heavy traffic and crowds), and for patrolling the fireworks safety zone
efficiently due to the large audience that spreads out over the entire
220 acre park system.

· Park/Golf Course maintenance - especially with the arboretum and other
landscape areas. Could be utilized in areas not easily accessible with current
maintenance equipment.

· Act as a utility vehicle, similar to the Cushman Cart.
a The Arboretum currently has the need for a utility vehicle similar to an
A TV for transportation and site work.
a The use of an A TV in the park system for a transportation method
would be less costly than utilizing larger trucks for the same purpose.

FIRE DEPARTMENT

· Community Events - 623 Walk/Run: as personnel traverse the route, especially
through the Central Park areas the Fire department has in the past not had
enough coverage on the route because of its landscape, which has left them
feeling somewhat compromised in certain areas, due to the inability to quickly
