Primary Election Task Force Mayor Kysylyczyn encouraged interested citizens to contact City Hall on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at 651- 490-2206, with the first 150 calls recognized on a first come, first served basis to serve on an upcoming Prilnary Election Task Force to generate public opinion regarding issues related to whether the City should continue to hold a municipal primary election. Mayor Kysylyczyn directed City Manager Beets to work with staff in preparing when to return to the City Council with information for their action. C. Compensation Task Force Mayor Kysylyczyn further encouraged interested citizens to contact City Hall on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at 651- 490-2206, to serve on an upcoming Compensation Task Force to generate public opinion regarding general Council compensation issues. Mayor Kysylyczyn stated that he anticipated a small group of 5 to 10 people meeting to discuss general compensation issues; not concentrating on what other con1munities do, but what's right for Roseville (i.e., campaign funding, fax n1achines for Councilmembers not able to afford their own; and other possible compensation issues). Councilmember Klausing again expressed his concern regarding Mayor Kysylyczyn's interpretation of the City's Rules, specifically Rule 10, and asked for clarification by the City Attorney on the Mayor's ability to appoint. Mayor Kysylyczyn sought comment from Councilmembers Schroeder and Kough as to their comn1ents or concerns regarding his ability to appoint.
