<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 2/10/03 <br />Page 18 <br /> <br />follows: <br />REPEAT OF ORIGINAL KLAUSING MOTION <br />Klausing moved, Kysylyczyn seconded amendment <br />of the 2003 Budget to allow for pathway <br />constructi on by $ 4 0,000 fr0111 the 0}3 erati 0nal <br />SaT:ings Food for the construction of the Larpenteur <br />Avenue Pathway; and if sufficient monies from the <br />0}3erati0nal Sa:~:ings Fund are not available, funding <br />would be provided from the Infrastrueture <br />P~eplaeefnent Fund in an am0unt n0t 10 e]:eeed <br />$ 40,000 as a 0ne time 0nl:/ funding S0uree; <br />amended to read: <br />KYSYLYCZYN AMENDMENT (no second) <br />Klausing moved, Kysylyczyn seconded amendment <br />of the 2003 Budget to allow for construction of the <br />Larpenteur Avenue Pathway; with $40,000 in <br />funds reallocated from the Police Department <br />Budget (previously allotted for purchase of all <br />terrain vehicles) and the Fire Department Budget <br />(previously allotted for purchase of Surburbans) <br />for a total amount of $40,000 for pathway <br />construction and $2,000 to the Parks and <br />Recreation Department for additional <br />maintenance requirelnents for this pathway <br />segment. <br /> <br />There was no second recorded to the Kysylyczyn <br />amendment. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough spoke in favor of utilizing the <br />federal funding available to Roseville at this time, in <br />accordance with the public input received. <br />Councilmember Kough concurred with the Mayor's <br />concerns in using proj ected operational savings from the <br />2003 Budget; but anticipated that construction bids would <br />come in less than $40,000. <br /> <br />Kough moved, an amendment to the Klausing motion, <br />striking portions and rewording the motion as follows: <br />
