<br />Regular City Council Minutes 2/24/03 <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />Further dialogue between Mayor Kysylyczyn and <br />Councilmember Maschka ensued regarding preferences <br />for rejecting the agreement currently before the Council, <br />or modification of the agreement, and the perception on <br />the part of labor. <br /> <br />Councilmember Klausing suggested Councilmembers <br />taking several weeks to further review the proposed <br />contract. <br /> <br />City Manager Beets responded that waiting would not <br />create undue hardship, that the contract had been brought <br />forward at this meeting because both staff and the union <br />were ready; and was amenable to continuing discussion at <br />the March 10, 2003 regular Council meeting. <br /> <br />IvIaschka moved, Klausing seconded, tabling the motion <br />until March 10,2003. Councilmember Kough advised <br />that he would not be in attendance at the March 10, 2003 <br />meeting as he would be out of town. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough, Klausing and Maschka. <br />Nays: Kysylyczyn. <br />Abstentions: Schroeder. <br /> <br />IX. <br /> <br />Organizational Business <br /> <br />A. Request to Fill Vacant Information Technology <br />Support Position <br />Finance Director Chris Miller reviewed the background of <br />the request to fill the vacant Information Technology <br />Support Position with an upgrade in the position to a <br />Network Engineer level, given the needs of the City of <br />Roseville and the six (6) cities supported through the Joint <br />Powers Agreements (JP A's) with the City for services; <br />particularly those of the City of Oakdale.
