<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 2/24/03 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Mr. Schwartz described some opportunities regarding a <br />firing range. Ramsey and Washington Counties are joint <br />owners of a new 10-lane firing range that they would rent <br />to the City as needed for arms qualifying. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough expressed concerns about HV AC <br />Issues. <br /> <br />Mr. Schwartz indicated that meetings were going on with <br />mechanical engineers regarding HV AC replacement in the <br />existing building. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough, Klausing, Maschka, Schroeder and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Finance Director Chris Miller clarified that $250,000 had <br />been appropriated for HV AC improvements in the existing <br />City Hall in 2003; and a budget amendment was not <br />necessary at this time to fund the Ankenny/Kell study for <br />revising the floor plan of the current City Hall. <br /> <br />B. Update on the Status of the Mold Problem in Fire <br />Station No.1 <br />Public Works Director Duane Schwartz reported on the <br />mold discovered in Fire Station No.1; both in the lower <br />level and in the main level. He discussed the scope of the <br />bids received to abate the mold infestation, repair of the <br />roof, and repair of the sanitary sewer system. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough asked about selling the property. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn asked to wait until the Ankenny/Kell <br />schematic study was done on the existing City Hall. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder asked about sealing the <br />basement while a decision was being made. <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka asked about the mechanicals <br /> <br />Fire Station No.1 <br />Mold Problem <br />Update <br />
