<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 3/31/03 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Ms. Frank further commented on her favorable <br />interpretation of the March 17, 2003 meeting. <br /> <br />D. Joseph Machyowsky, 2690 North Oxford <br />Mr. Machyowsky complemented Dr. VerHagen for his <br />continued fortitude in pursuit of alleged behind-the-scenes <br />political maneuvering and reiterated his list of perceived <br />accomplishments by the Mayor in a previous Letter to the <br />Editor; and asked for common decency and good manners <br />to be displayed in future campaigns. <br /> <br />II. Review Agenda Review Agenda <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn called for any comments or discussion on <br />the Consent Agenda. Mayor Kysylyczyn removed Consent <br />Agenda Item XI., F., Authorizing Fire Department Grant <br />Application for discussion purposes; Councilmember Klausing <br />alerted Mayor Kysylyczyn to an audience member wishing to <br />comment on Consent Agenda Item XI., P., Second Reading and <br />Enactment of Ordinance Amending Title Three, Section <br />302.15, Liquor Control Penalty; and Councilmember Maschka <br />had questions for staff on Consent Agenda Item XI., D., <br />Approving County Road C Easement. <br /> <br />III. Presentations Presentations <br /> <br />A. Gun Range Gun Range <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn recognized the need for consensus on a <br />city facility gun range, given the upcoming design <br />decisions regarding building construction. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough introduced the gun range issue, <br />and asked that Police Chief Carol Sletner be recognized by <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn for her comments, as requested by <br />Councilmember Kough. <br /> <br />Police Chief Sletner reviewed a list of advantages and <br />disadvantages in the City having its own firing range. <br />Chief Sletner summarized her comments by expressing her <br />preference for an on-site range, but in an effort to be <br />fiscally responsible, she recognized the budget constraints <br />in the overall construction proj ect. <br />
