<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 6/02/03 <br />Page 15 <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn called for public Comment. <br /> <br />Tim and Pam Kurtz, 901 Parker <br />Mr. and Mrs. Kurtz expressed their concerned regarding <br />the anticipated view of the proposed garage from their <br />home and neighbors, and addressed street aesthetics and <br />slope requirements. Mr. and Mrs. Kurtz, while supportive <br />of the proposed home, sought other options for locating <br />the garage, and potential future impacts. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding other options considered by <br />the applicant; shared driveway access with applicant's <br />neighboring property; landscaping remedies; previous <br />notification of affected property owners when Minor <br />Subdivision was approved; and elevations of the site. <br /> <br />After further discussion, Councilmembers concurred that, <br />while recognizing Mr. and Mrs. Kurtz's concerns, the <br />public hearings held at the Planning Commission level, <br />with the applicant, were more appropriate to this <br />discussion. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved an amendment to the motion to <br />include that the Planner contact Mr. and Mrs. Kurtz with <br />the applicant's landscaping plan. <br /> <br />After further discussion regarding whether this <br />amendment would represent an additional condition, <br />currently unknown to the applicant, Councilmember <br />Klausing suggested tabling the item for one week to allow <br />the applicant to be informed and to allow the Kurtz's time <br />to provide written information prior to that meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka concurred with the suggestion <br />for tabling the item in an effort to facilitate good neighbor <br />relationships, communication and resolution of the issue; <br />and further expressed an interest in seeing a garage <br />elevation plan. <br /> <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />Schroeder spoke in support of <br />Maschka's comments and <br />
