<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 06/09/03 <br />Page 12 <br /> <br />standards and correlating green space to the student <br />enrollment. <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson addressed Councilmember Klausing's <br />comments related to availability of design standards, <br />stating that most of those limited standards are related to <br />public schools, which provide for accommodation of <br />bussing, and not applicable to this private school project. <br /> <br />Mr. Klausing opined that he was more concerned about <br />room for play areas for the children, and suggested that be <br />included in final plan design, even if it required scaling <br />back proposed facility construction. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn repeated the proposed action, and <br />polled Councilmembers for their preference. <br /> <br />Councilmember Klausing spoke in favor of the motion <br />with a caveat that for him to be supportive of final plans, <br />they needed to address recreation space, site density, <br />parking, and access issues sufficiently. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough concurred with Councilmember <br />Klausing's comments, stating that off-street, on-site <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka expressed his willingness to <br />support the motion to move on with Phase I, but opined <br />that the general concept was still too intense for that site. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder stated that he would reluctantly <br />support the motion, while sharing concerns that the <br />proposed site density was too intense and opined that <br />relocation of the proposed parking lot in the southwest <br />comer should be considered. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough, Schroeder, Klausing, Maschka and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br />
