<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 03/13/06 <br />Minutes - Page 14 <br /> <br />Councilmember Pust noted that the subcommittees would need <br />to come back to the City Council for any spending monIes; <br />Mayor Klausing and Councilmembers concurred. <br /> <br />City Manager Beets noted the concerns of consultant Barbara <br />Raye regarding the scope of services she was contracted to <br />provide, and the next steps to pursue for teambuilding. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan opined that Ms. Raye was hired for <br />teambuilding and work style analysis, and not retained by the <br />City Council for work on the community visioning process, and <br />sought to make that clear. <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka opined his preference to use Ms. <br />Raye's services for a two-hour, intense goal setting session. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing noted, in his conversations with Ms. Raye, her <br />perception of the reluctance of some Councilmembers to do team <br />building, thus the previous emphasis on work styles. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan reiterated her concerns regarding adhering <br />to the bounds of the contract language with Ms. Raye for <br />services to be provided. <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka opined that there had been Council <br />consensus, with the exception of Councilmember Ihlan, to work <br />with Ms. Raye on a two-hour goal setting session. <br /> <br />City Manager Beets concurred with Councilmember Maschka, <br />and noted that was Ms. Raye' s concluding interpretation as well. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pust advised that the newly-appointed <br />subcommittee would look at it, as well as the original Request <br />for Proposals (RFP) and contract language to define the scope of <br />servIces. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Pust; Ihlan and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />9.
