City Council Regular Meeting - 03/13/06 Minutes - Page 6 5.a Recognition of Goodmanson Construction for Sponsorship of the New Year's Eve Party at the OVAL Recreation Program Coordinator/Banquet Room Coordinator Kevin Elm introduced local business owners of Goodmanson, Inc., Cami & Mer! Goodmanson, and recognized their gracious and enthusiastic sponsorship of the annual Roseville Skating Center New Year's Eve Celebration through a $4,000 cash contribution and $4,300 in door prizes and supplies, in addition to assistance from their paid staff for control, safety and various other tasks through the night. Mr. Elm expressed the appreciation of staff and the community for their sponsorship. Mayor Klausing, on behalf of the City Council, staff and community, echoed the appreciation to the Goodmanson family and construction firm. Ihlan moved, Pust seconded, recognition of Cami, Mer! and Rick Goodmanson and Goodmanson Construction, Inc., for their generous and significant sponsorship of the 2005 New Year's Eve Celebration at the Roseville Skating Center. Mr. Goodmanson thanked Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke, and Mr. Elm, for the opportunity to sponsor the event, and expressed his personal appreciation to Guidant for their contribution in keeping the facility operating. Mr. Goodmanson further recognized former and present City Councils and staff for their advocacy for facilities such as the OVAL. Roll Call Ayes: Pust; Ihlan and Klausing. Nays: None.
