Special City Council Meeting - 06/30/03
Minutes - Page 4

Councilmembers Maschka and Kough commented on the
need for 10 seats at the dais in case the council expanded
in size to seven members.

Councilmember Schroeder questioned the need for a
raised dais. He also supported putting a portable podium
at the presentation table.

Mayor Kysylyczyn questioned the need for staff sitting at
the dais and advocated multi-functionality.

Councilmember Klausing supported a portable podium at
the presentation desk, favored 10 seats over a lesser
number and the sight lines provided by a raised dais.

Councilmember Maschka supported better sight lines
through a raised dais.

Mayor Kysylyczyn asked about screen dimensions and its
visibility. He reiterated that the Council supported this
Alternative Concept rather than the current Council
configuration.

Councilmembers Maschka, Klausing, and Schroeder
supported nine places based on the theory that an enlarged
Council would be seven members and City Manager and
City Attorney make nine.

Councilmember Schroeder also advocated an equipment
well in which Council monitors and audio equipment
could be moved around.

IX.

Organizational Business

X.

Ordinances & Resolutions

XI.

Consent Agenda

A.
