<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 07/21/03 <br />Page 20 <br /> <br />Mr. and Mrs. Duhl presented pictures of drainage issues <br />during heavy rains from neighboring properties onto their <br />property; but were unable to identify that Mr. Gregg's <br />property was aggravating his drainage problem, attributing <br />ensuing problems to extensions of rain gutters and down <br />spouts. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn closed the Public Hearing at <br />approximately 9:44 p.m. <br /> <br />After further discussion, Kysylyczyn moved amending the <br />motion to strike Condition #H, "Gutters installed along the <br />eves of the detached accessory building and directed to the <br />parcel's interior yard to reduce impacts to the adjacent <br />residential properties (north and east);" pending a <br />determination from the City Engineer regarding water <br />drainage in the area. <br /> <br />Further discussion included staff rationale and City policy <br />for recommendations for gutter installation; with <br />Kysylyczyn withdrawing his amendment to the motion. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder, Maschka, Klausing, Kough and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />With Council consensus, Councilmember Maschka <br />recommended directing staff to review and further explore <br />the properties in case remediation is needed as the proj ect <br />proceeds. <br /> <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn encouraged Mr. and Mrs. Duhl to <br />continue their discussions with Public Works Director <br />Schwartz. <br /> <br />VII.
