<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 7/28/03 <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Ms. Stuthman was publicly recognized and expressed her <br />honor at the Proclamation for Judy Stuthman Day on July <br />28, 2003. <br /> <br />The publication, "Immigration in Minnesota, Challenges <br />and Opportunities," of which Ms. Stuthman was <br />instrumental in bringing to fruition is available through the <br />State League of W omen Voters office, or on their website, <br />L WVMN.ORG. <br /> <br />VI. Reports and Recommendations <br /> <br />IX. <br /> <br />Organizational Business <br /> <br />A. 2004 Health Insurance "One Plus" Tier Option <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Kough seconded directing staff to <br />ADD an additional tier of single plus one to the health <br />insurance plan beginning January 1, 2004; and ADD an <br />additional City contribution level for the new single plus <br />one group if the direction is to add this tier. <br /> <br />Human Resources Director Eldona Bacon provided <br />background information on pro-rated health benefits <br />currently offered to the City's 161 eligible employee's <br />through provider Preferred One, based on their level of <br />full-time status, beginning at a minimum of twenty (20) <br />hours per week. The City currently offers two (2) tier <br />options, single or family. The City's retiree group <br />requested that research be conducted and a decision made <br />regarding the possibility of adding an additional single <br />plus one tier to the current plan in order to provide an <br />option other than single or family coverage where <br />applicable.
