~'~i~e 1 of~ I
®risco!!, Margaret
From: Claire O'Connor ~~~~¢n :~~ - .
Sent: Monday, Rugust 18, 2003 7,34 AM
To: city.councilLci.roseville.mn.us
Subject: composting leaves eta.
The proposal to eliminate the compost site makes no sense.
VVe know the site is well used and appreciated. VVe know that composting offers a simple, cost
effective, and environmentally protective way of eliminating waste. Further, composting not
anly rids us of unwanted material it turns it into something that is usable.
VVe have to wonder at the sense of eliminating the site. Vile know there is an explanation and
we are only left with the possibility that there is personal advantage to be gained. What we
need to know, and will eventually, is who stands to gain personally from this seemingly
irrational proposal? You are elected by the people to protect their interests and that is done by
making decisions based on the common good. We expect that now.
Claire O'Connor
Grew up in Roseville, currently (and reluctantly} resident of Eden Prairie
8/18/2003
