Then there is the issue of how much space this equipment takes up in our c?.ty
buy ld~ ngs . As I see ~ t, Space ~s money. `?'his ' s especrally true because Rose~,ri lle does
pay to store things off city property. If space on city property vas freed up, trae ~~7ould
realise lo~rer rental casts because :~~e ~~aouldn't have to store as much stuff off oro~ertF>>.
Then there is the lawsuit issues concerning compost sites and the health of
residents that live nearby. That's another long issue.
I am available to answer any questions on this issue.
'T'hanks,
[Mayor John Kysylyczyn
3083 Victoria Street
Rose~Tille, MN 55113
johnk@usfamily.net
Home Office: 651-484-1384
Cell: 651-398-5337
-----Original Message-----=
From : Linda . We don't own a truck or a trailer, so we
appreciate the leaf pick up program. i cannot imagine bagging alI
of the leaves we have. Not only the cost of the bags to have my garbage hauler take them
away, but the multiple weeks I would be storing them along side the garage and putting
them out at curbside, because the hauler will only will take 7 bags of yard waste at one
time.
Then there is the springtime to consider. Currently, we rake a pile in to a tarp and load
it into the true}.:. of the car, and go down to the Dale St site and drop them off. 'Then we
go back and repeat this time consuming process until we are done. If we r~o longer had
access to the site, wa 4-could again be buying bags, and storing them along side our garage
until my garbage hauler started up the yard waste program for the year, usually around
Apri_1 15th.
I truly wish you would consider and keeping the Leaf pick-up program and the compost site.
Thank you for your time.
Linda Hemp
3
