<br />Regular City Council Minutes - 11/24/03 <br />Page 31 <br /> <br />reduction. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Schroeder, Kough, Klausing and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Su ested Reduction <br />Reduce or suspend summer bike patrol <br /> <br /> <br />ested Amount <br />$10,000 <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Klausing seconded, reduction of <br />$5,000 to the summer bike patrol. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder spoke against the reduction, <br />citing the value of the program. <br /> <br />Councilmember Klausing concurred with the value of the <br />program, supporting the motion to reduce, not eliminate, <br />the program. <br /> <br />Councihnember Kough spoke in support of a sn1all cut. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Kough, Klausing and Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: Schroeder. <br /> <br />Su ested Reduction <br />Reduce city-wide overtime <br /> <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Kough seconded, reduction of city- <br />wide overtime by $50,000. <br /> <br />Councilmelnber Schroeder spoke against the motion for <br />any cuts in overtime, citing the en1ployees as a city <br />resource. <br /> <br />Counciln1ember Kough spoke in support of the motion, <br />provided that departn1ents were not adversely affected by <br />too-drastic reductions. <br /> <br />Councilmen1bers Klausing and Maschka concurred with <br />the recon1mended reductions by City Manager Beets of <br />
