<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 04/24/06 <br />Minutes - Page 14 <br /> <br />Item 3.p) <br />At the request of Mayor Klausing, City Manager Beets <br />briefly reviewed the request that Jim Stark be appointed for <br />the remainder of Rouse Farnham's term (to expire at the <br />end of 2006); due to the resignation of Mr. Farnham due to <br />health reasons. Mr. Beets noted that staff had advertised <br />for the vacancy as required by State Statute, with only one <br />application received, that of Mr. Stark. Mr. Beets briefly <br />outlined the expertise that Mr. Stark brought to the <br />position. <br /> <br />Kough moved, Pust seconded, reappointment of Jim Stark <br />to the Grass Lake Watershed Management Organization <br />Board, with a term to expire December 31,2006. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan; Kough; ~Aasch..l(a; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Recognitions, Donations, Communications <br /> <br />5.a Proclamation of Days of Remembrance for Victims of <br />the Holocaust, April 23 - 30, 2006 <br />Ihlan moved, Kough seconded, proclaiming April 23 to <br />April 30, 2006 to be Days of Remembrance in the City of <br />Roseville for remembrance of the victims of the Holocaust, <br />and to reflect on the need for respect of all people and to <br />practice all diligence to overcome intolerance and <br />indifference through learning and remembrance. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan; Kough; Maschka; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Councilmember-Initiated Agenda Items for Discussion and <br />Action at the May 8, 2006 City Council Meeting <br />Discussion included clarification of the intent of the <br />Councilmember- Initiated Agenda Items; their discussion; and <br />their consideration for action. <br /> <br />James R.
