TH 280 Reconstruction - consider direction to staff TH 280 Reconstruction <br />and Minnesota Department of Transportation MnDDT Presentation <br />MnDDT <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn recognized Schwartz, who overviewed the <br />purpose of tonight's meeting. Then Frank Pafko, Area <br />Manager for MnDOT introduced his staff and the <br />principal presenter, Consultant Glen Van Wormer. <br /> <br />Van Wormer described the history of TH 280, the traffic <br />counts and accident data for that roadway, the <br />geometries of the Larpenteur interchange, funding <br />challenges, and design options for improving the <br />operation of TH280; Median Closure; Central Alignn1ent <br />Intersection; East Alignment Intersection; and West <br />Alignment Intersection. He analyzed the various options <br />in terms of engineering and safety considerations, their <br />impact on adjacent properties, and the construction <br />staging impacts of each option. Pafl<o then described <br />some financial and time parameters. <br /> <br />Klausing asked about grade and funding issues. Gill- <br />Gerbig asked about the timing of the County Road B <br />closure. Maschka asked about pavement reconstruction <br />and what triggers construction of the potential <br />
