Members shall be <br />402residents of the city and appointed for three year staggered terms. Terms of the initial members <br />403will be established by the council at the time of their appointment. No member shall serve more <br />404than two full consecutive terms. (Ord. 1260, 4-15-2002) (Ord. 1313, 12-6-2004) <br />205.02: ORGANIZATION: <br />405 <br />406The commission shall annually elect one member to serve as chairperson and one member to <br />407serve as vice chairperson. (Ord. 1260, 4-15-2002) <br />205.03: MEETINGS AND REPORTS: <br />408 <br />409The commission shall annually adopt a regular meeting schedule and may hold other meetings, <br />410as it deems necessary. The commission may adopt rules for the transaction of business and shall <br />411keep a record of its meetings and actions. (Ord. 1260, 4-15-2002) <br />205.04: DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: <br />412 <br />413The duties and functions of the commission shall be as follows: <br />414A. Serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council, City Manager and Director of Public <br />415Works on public works, environmental, and transportation matters. (Ord. 1313, 12-6-2004) <br />416B. Maintain an interest in and an understanding of the functions and operations of the Public <br />417Works Department. <br />418C. Maintain an interest in and an understanding of federal, state, county, regional and other <br />419public works, environmental, and transportation services that impact City services. (Ord. <br />4201313, 12-6-2004) <br />421D. Perform other duties and functions or conduct studies and investigations as specifically <br />422directed or delegated by the city.
