CHAPTER 206 <br />426 <br />ETHICS COMMISSION <br />427 <br />SECTION: <br />428 <br />206.01: Establishment and Membership <br />429 <br />206.02: Organization <br />430 <br />206.03: Meetings and Reports <br />431 <br />206.04: Duties and Functions <br />432 <br />206.01: ESTABLISHMENT AND MEMBERSHIP: <br />433 <br />434There is hereby established an ethics commission of the City which shall consist of five members <br />435appointed by the City Council. Members shall be residents of the City and appointed for three <br />436year staggered terms. Terms of the initial members will be established by the council at the time <br />437of their appointment. No member shall serve more than two full consecutive terms. <br />206.02: ORGANIZATION: <br />438 <br />439The Commission shall annually elect one member to serve as chairperson and one member to <br />440serve as vice chairperson. <br />206.03: MEETINGS AND REPORTS: <br />441 <br />442The Commission shall annually adopt a regular meeting schedule and may hold other meetings, <br />443as it deems necessary. The Commission may adopt rules for the transaction of business and shall <br />444keep a record of its meetings and actions. <br />206.04: DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: <br />445 <br />446The duties and functions of the Commission shall be as follows: <br />447A. Serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council on matters involving any ethics code <br />448adopted by the City Council. <br />449B. Administer any ethics code adopted by the City Council. <br />450C. Perform other duties and functions or conduct studies as specifically directed or delegated <br />451by the City Council.
