<br /> <br />SBVIbbE <br /> <br />Minnesota, USA <br /> <br />City Council Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes <br />Monday, May 22, 2006 <br /> <br />Call Roll Call Roll <br />Mayor Klausing called to order the Roseville City Council <br />regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. and welcomed everyone. <br /> <br />Roll Call (Voting and Seating Order) <br />Councilmembers Pust; Maschka; Ihlan; Kough and Mayor <br />Klausing. All were present. <br /> <br />City Attorney Scott Anderson was also present. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing announced the City's attempt to seek funding <br />through the State Bonding Bill for maintenance and operations of <br />the John Rose Guidant OVAL; and success of the efforts with <br />the final bonding bill awaiting the Governor's signature, <br />including $500,000 in funding for the OVAL. Mayor Klausing <br />invited Parks & Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke forward to <br />thank those responsible for the successful outcome. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing thanked Lonnie and staff for their diligence in <br />pursuing this funding; Lonnie's work with the legislature; the <br />importance in the State of Minnesota recognizing the state and <br />region-wide significance of the OVAL; and further recognized <br />City of Roseville Communications Specialist Carolyn Cmii for <br />her assistance with the legislative process, strategy, approach, <br />and protocol. <br /> <br />While Mr. Brokke noted that personal thank you notes would be <br />sent to the many people participating in the process, he <br />specifically publicly recognized numerous people and their <br />special expertise, including the various State and City political <br />bodies and their respective staff members; Council Liaison Dean <br />Maschka for his attendance, suppOli and involvement at the <br />
