Maschka asked about <br />the City's liability for personal injuries to visiting <br />retirees, and worker's cOInpensation liability. <br />Kysylyczyn spoke about the differences between the fire <br />departn1ent and other city departlnent, the history of this <br />Issue. <br />Beets suggested that we get a joint n1eeting together. <br />Kough cOInInented that he disagr~yd. <br />Schroeder asked that we give the parties a chance to <br />resolve this Inatter. <br />Retiree Terry Moses spoke about the special nature of <br />the Fire Departlnent and how they were not a <br />InoneYlnaking business. <br />Retiree Joe Rosene spoke about the absence of security <br />issue, and the presence of a personality issue. <br />JZlausing asked for a sequence of background events, and <br />willingness to cOInpron1ise. <br />Kough spoke in favor of the current Inotion. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn withdrew his Inotion. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn explained why he'iwascgoing to support this <br />Inotion. <br /> <br />Maschka n10ved, Kysylyczyn seconded to refer the <br />Inatter to the City Manager with a report back to the <br />Council within 30 days.
