<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 06/12/06 <br />Minutes - Page 21 <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan expressed concern that home <br />addresses and home e-mails were included on the <br />information sent to Rottlund Homes related to the recent <br />Conditional Use Permit for the concrete recycling facility. <br /> <br />City Manager Beets advised that staff attempted to <br />provide as much information as possible to the City <br />Council and public to allow full disclosure and adequate <br />decision-making and public knowledge of items before <br />the City Council. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan provided two (2) Bench Handouts <br />entitled, "Privacy Policy" taken from the City's website; <br />and a copy of "Minnesota Statutes 2005, 13.601, entitled, <br />"Elected and appointed officials" and Subd. 2 related to <br />correspondence <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan proposed putting discussion of a <br />correspondence/communication policy on the July Study <br />Session agenda. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding staff and the City Attorney <br />drafting of a proposed policy, or Councilmember Ihlan <br />doing so. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan volunteered to draft a proposed <br />policy, but sought input from staff and the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing directed staff and the City Attorney to <br /> <br />input to <br />a proposed <br />Session for <br /> <br />provide additional information and <br />Councilmember Ihlan to come back with <br />policy at the July 17, 2006 Council Study <br />discussion. <br /> <br />Public Comment <br />John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn advised that other cities post a notice that <br />e-mails received by the City could become public <br />information. <br />
