Jy. <br />Project Summary <br />The City's Contractor will start work on Friday, April <br />20. The construction work will begin with removal <br />of the trees located in the right of way between <br />Dunlap Street and Griggs Avenue. There will also <br />be trees removed for storm sewer construction just <br />to the east of the Pulte Homes model at the <br />northeast corner of Dunlap St and County Road C- <br />2. <br />On Monday, they will begin utility construction <br />starting at Hemline Avenue and working east. <br />Utility work will continue for this project next week. <br />The contractor will complete curb and pavement <br />removals in advance of the utility crew. <br />During the Week of April 30, the road work will be <br />completely underway. The soil, pavement, and <br />curb will be removed in preparation for the new <br />street construction. <br />A full schedule is available on the project webpage. <br />The work is anticipated to be complete in June. <br />This schedule is weather dependent. If we get rain, <br />there will be delays. <br />The Contractor will try to provide property owners <br />access during construction. If you have special <br />access needs, please let us know. <br />Street Trees <br />One part of this project is to install trees in the <br />boulevard along County Road G2. We would like <br />to coordinate locations and species with property <br />owners. The following is a list of trees that are <br />available to be installed on this project. <br />• Ivory silk tree lilac <br />• Autumn Blaze Maple <br />• Greenspire Linden <br />• Hackberry <br />• Skyline Honeylocust <br />Please contact the City if you are interested in <br />having a street tree in front of your house. We <br />need a final list of locations and species by May 11. <br />County Road C -2 <br />Construction Project <br />Private work- Sanitary Sewer Services & <br />Driveways <br />As of April 27, we will no longer accept requests for <br />private sanitary sewer or driveway work. We will <br />provide the Contractor the list of requests and they <br />will provide you quotes. We recommend that you <br />contact other driveway contractors for comparison <br />quotes. <br />Private Systems/ Gardens <br />Curbs designated for removal will be marked this <br />week. Underground sprinklers, electrical for yard <br />lights, perennial gardens, or invisible fences <br />installed within 10 or 15 feet of the curb, need to be <br />removed. Removal and reinstallation of these <br />items is the responsibility of the property owner. <br />We recommend that you mark the location of <br />underground wires or sprinklers immediately. If you <br />are not sure if your system is in the way, please call <br />Dean Findell. These items should be removed from <br />the city right- of- way before 7:OOam Monday, <br />April 23. Please note that this is an updated <br />deadline from the previous newsletter. <br />If these items are not removed, the contractor will <br />damage them during construction.
