City Council Minutes - 05/06/02 Page 7 Schroeder asked for clarification about two features: the latter half of the mission statement and the first sentence in the policy statement. Kysylyczyn encouraged deletions to the draft statements. Klausing spoke in favor of the version in the Council packet, if a policy is going to be adopted. Kough commented that the policy was fairly good. Schroeder deferred to the City Attorney's reasons for writing the policy as set forth in the Council packet. Maschka asked about how the policy would work from an enforcement standpoint, and indicated his opposition to the motion. Kysylyczyn suggested two friendly amendments to the motion: delete the word "city" and insert the word "any" before the word "business" in the third paragraph of the policy following the mission statement; delete the words "concerns and" from the fourth and final paragraph of the policy. Schroeder accepted these proposed changes as part of his motion. Roll Call, Ayes: Schroeder, Klausing, Kough, and Kysylyczyn. Nays: Maschka. VII. Ordinances & Resolutions A. Kough asked about the legality of nude model studios under the proposed ordinance. Maschka asked about the legality of certain magazines. Kough asked about the legality of certain videos. Kysylyczyn moved, Schroeder seconded, to adopt a resolution of findings of fact as recommended by the Planning Commission, and to request public comment on the first reading of the ordinance.
