<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 07/24/06 <br />Minutes - Page 2 <br /> <br />MRP A, the history of the A ward of Excellence Committee, <br />increase awareness of and appreciation for parks and <br />recreation facilities, programs, and services in Minnesota; <br />and presented the 2006 MRPA Award of Excellence to the <br />City of Roseville recognizing the OVAL Stakeholder Task <br />Force. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing, on behalf of the City Council, community <br />and staff, accepted the award. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing thanked the number of volunteers and <br />recognized Roseville Parks and Recreation Commission <br />member Richard J. Jacobson, one of the panel, for the <br />comprehensive report provided to the City Council by the <br />Task Force, and the assistance it provided in decision- <br />making. <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka specifically recognized and <br />publicly thanked Mr. Jacobson, Scott Nelson, and Lonnie <br />Brokke for their extensive work above and beyond the call <br />of duty, resulting in a great end product. <br /> <br />l.b <br /> <br />Accept a Donation from Target Corporation to Support <br />National Night Out <br />Interim City Manager Chris Miller reviewed the funds <br />provided to the Roseville Police Department to assist in <br />neighborhood celebrations at annual National Night Out <br />events. <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Pust seconded, acceptance of a donation <br />from the Target Foundation in the amount of $600.00 in <br />unsolicited funds to support the Department's 2006 <br />National Night Out Program to be used for the purchase of <br />picnic gift packs from Target to be given to neighborhoods <br />in our community holding National Night Out celebrations. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing thanked, on behalf of the City Council, <br />community and staff, the Target Foundation for their <br />generosity and continued community support. <br /> <br />Donation from <br />Target Corp. to <br />Support National <br />Night Out <br />
