<br /> <br />Minnesota, USA <br /> <br />City Council Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes <br />Monday, August 14, 2006 <br /> <br />Call to Order Call to Order <br />Mayor Klausing called to order the Roseville City Council <br />regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. and welcomed everyone. <br /> <br />Roll Call (Voting and Seating Order) <br />Councilmembers Ihlan; Pust; Maschka; Kough and Mayor <br />Klausing. <br /> <br />City Attorney Scott Anderson was also present. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing welcomed Councilmember Kough back to the <br />bench. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Special Joint Meeting with the Human Rights Commission <br />Mayor Klausing welcomed Commissioners of the Human Rights <br />Commission (HRC) to tonight's joint meeting with the City <br />Council. Commissioners present included Chairperson Janet <br />Delmore; and Commissioners Scott Higbee; Bob Venters; Tam <br />McGehee and Ann Keeney. <br /> <br />Joint Meeting with <br />Human Rights <br />Commission <br /> <br />City of Roseville Communications Specialist Carolyn Curti was <br />also present in her role as staff liaison to the HRC. <br /> <br />Chair Delmore provided a visual presentation and historical <br />perspective on the HRC; the community's changing <br />demographics and diversity; and suggested future goals for the <br />HRC. Discussion Points included: <br />· How do we make Roseville a more welcoming <br />community? <br />· How could the City and/or the HRC go about taking the <br />"temperature of the City' in regard to residents' attitudes <br />
