<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 08/28/06 <br />Minutes - Page 16 <br /> <br />Additional Public Comment <br />Joni MacDonald, 3030 Hamline Avenue N <br />Ms. MacDonald opined her lack of support for twin homes, and <br />her support for single-family homes, preferably larger homes on <br />larger lots. <br /> <br />Eeris Fritz, 2922 Hamline Avenue N <br />Ms. Fritz thanked the developer for eliminating the proposed <br />four-plex; and opined the need for upgraded, higher quality <br />single-family homes in Roseville. Ms. Fritz noted the location of <br />Roseville, ease of commute to either downtown, quality of life in <br />Roseville, and community amenities. Ms. Fritz spoke in support <br />of an office building development as well, being another <br />desirable option providing for a mixed use need. <br /> <br />Tim Callahan, 3062 Shorewood Lane <br />Mr. Callahan expressed concerns with the proposed <br />development, and asked for additional information on traffic <br />counts on Hamline and Lydia Avenues and whether Hamline <br />A venue would need to be upgraded with traffic lights and or <br />widened roadway to accommodate increased traffic. <br /> <br />Mr. Callahan also expressed concern regarding single-family <br />home elevations, ponding depth, drainage area and driveway <br />slopes, and how overall site drainage would be handled. <br /> <br />Michael Fishbach, 2895 Hamline Avenue N <br />Mr. Fishbach noted that his family had just added onto their <br />home, as they liked the neighborhood; and opined that he would <br />prefer to see larger, single-family homes remain in the <br />neighborhood, rather than multiple unit town homes. Mr. <br />Fishbach also expressed concern regarding additional traffic on <br />Hamline Avenue. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing ended public comment at this time and thanked <br />everyone for their input. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pust opined her preference for referring the case <br />back to the Planning Commission. <br />
