<br />City Council Regular Meetiug - 09/11/06 <br />Minutes - Page 26 <br /> <br />members to make use of the online, e-mail-based community <br />Issues Forum at www.e-decmocracy.org and link to the Roseville <br />page. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pust thanked the Steering Committee and <br />Subcommittee chairs and members for their service in this <br />community process. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing encouraged continued and increased public <br />participation in creating concrete policy initiatives and direction <br />for the community, as evidenced in the Vista 2000 process. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />Council member-Initiated Items from August 28, 2006 (or <br />Past) Council Meeting(s) <br /> <br />11.a <br /> <br />Request of Councilmember Kough to Consider <br />Membership in the Twin Cities North Chamber of <br />Commerce <br />Councilmember Kough reviewed his request for Council <br />consideration of the City's membership in the Twin Cities <br />North Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />Bruce Nustad, Staff President of Twin Cities North <br />Chamber of Commerce <br />Mr. Nustad invited the City Council to membership in the <br />Chamber; reviewed the adjusted membership investment <br />for the City, similar to that recently offered to and <br />accepted by the City of Little Canada; and advantages of <br />the City's involvement and partnering with the business <br />community. Mr. Nustad noted that the Board of Directors <br />was represented by 17 business members and the 7 <br />represented cities serving as ex-officio members. <br /> <br />Discussion included frequency of meetings; what City <br />representatives should attend; cost of luncheon meetings; <br />rotation of meeting locations; monthly meeting itineraries; <br />and benefits to City taxpayers for the City joining the <br />Chamber. <br /> <br />Kough moved, Ihlan seconded, membership by the City of <br /> <br />Items from <br />August 28, 2006 <br />Council Meeting <br /> <br />Membership in the <br />Twin Cities North <br />Chamber of <br />Commerce <br />
