Community Visioning Imagine Roseville 2025 Process Community Visioning Consultant Anne Carroll; Bill Majerus, Ann Berry, and Karl Keel, three of the seven Steering Committee members (Ann Berry, Steve Burwell, Lisa Edstrom, Karl Keel, Bill Majerus, Jim Mulder, Mark Traynor) were present to provide the City Council and public with a general update; report on the first round of Listening Sessions; provide contents of the September 21,2006 Joint Meeting of the Steering Committee and Subcommittee Co-Chairs; and further detail the community visioning process to-date. Miss Carroll reviewed the general and special sessions held to- date; organization of results; vast number of issues identified and robust conversations held; expectations of and charge to the subcommittees; and a review of the purpose of the "Imagine Roseville 2025" community visioning process. Throughout Ms. Carroll's presentation, dialogue among Councilmembers, Steering Committee members, and Ms. Carroll occurred. Ms. Carroll reviewed the purpose of the September 21 joint session to articulate values, explore sample goals and strategies; and address expectations pressures being felt by each subcommittee. Ms. Carroll requested additional City Council support of and encouragement for subcommittee members; and discussed ways to engage City staff without increasing their day-to-day work load and overwhelming their schedules, while balancing service to the public through the visioning process. Each Steering Committee member reviewed various subcommittees and their specific areas of discussion to-date. Mayor Klausing directed the Steering Committee and Subcommittee Chairs to direct their requests to Interim City Manager Chris Miller to seek staff assistance or response, and to allow flexibility of staff schedules based on their workloads.
